The New York Jets’ rookie quarterback Mark Sanchez comes up at his news conference Friday wearing a balck T-shirt with the word 'wonderboy' printed on the chest.
“Yep, Roy Hobbs,” Sanchez said with a big smile. Hobbs, of course, is the power-hitting character played by Robert Redford in the 1984 film, “The Natural.” The movie was based on Bernard Malamud’s 1952 novel of the same name in which Hobbs carves his beloved bat, “Wonderboy,” out of a tree that was split in half by a lightning bolt. “I’ve had it for a while,” Sanchez said. “I’m wearing everything that could bring a little something good.”
Sanchez is wondering that all leads to a Hollywood-type ending with his teammates with jets jerseys—Roy Hobbs style—complete with confetti and a trophy.

Allen will try his best against Romo
Hundreds of the fans wasped and screamed this Sunday at the Metrodome. Minnesota Vikings defensive end Jared Allen will have a head to head battle which was full of energy.
We are sure both of them will run the game without mercy. Even though he’s buddies with Romo’s dad.“I love Ramiro,” Allen said in a telephone interview earlier this week. “I’ve spent a lot of time with him and he’s a great guy. We met because we have the same financial guy. And we always talk football; but once we get on the field, anything goes. Trust me: Tony’s not going to take it easy on trying to pick us apart the whole game.” Allen had done a good job after he stepped into the Vikings taht he was called a Minnesota madman.
Hope these two guys with the NFL jerseys can be better.

Carroll is active
Pete Carroll is busy these days. Seatle's new coach rarely had time to sit down and had a rest from his sweet hello to the city before he began the Seahawks' next search. Carroll with team chief executive officer Tod Leiweke have a interview for Omar Khan.
An announcement of a new GM could come this weekend. Or Seattle could seek a second batch of candidates. It's unusual to pick a coach and choose a new GM to conform to him rather than the other way around. Carroll never had so much power after the Pats fired him as coach following the 1999 season. “Yeah, I think there’s a real positive in it. I get to be involved in it,” Carroll said. “I like it a lot, as a matter of fact.”
Leiweke said the only target for him is to coach these players with seahawks jerseys well.

Favre focuses on the battle at present
Quarterback Brett Favre wearing the No.4 vikings jersey can't help holding his excitement about back to a Super Bowl with his new team.
“That’s the only reason I came back,” Favre said. His contract has extended to another year as his contribution of 33 touchdown passes equals an effective 40-year-old. “Honestly, I see us sitting here next week having this press conference again,” Favre said, anticipating a Vikings victory over the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday and advancing to the NFC Championship game. “If that doesn’t happen, to me it will be a shock. So I just haven’t thought about what next year will be like, or what I will be doing next week.” Favre said it's a good try to play at 40th and all he wants to do is beat Cowboys.

Manning, Lewis battle each other with words
It is fun to see them battle with each other: Indianapolis Colts quarterback Peyton Manning and Baltimore Ravens linebacker Ray Lewis will try to battle with each other eye for eye, tooth for tooth.
Their teammates have been happy enough to see this most entertaining and loudest match of the NFL playoff weekend. “It can get pretty chaotic out there,” Colts left tackle Charlie Johnson said with a laugh, reflecting on other times he’s been in the crossfire. “They’ve played against each other so many times that Peyton will make a check and then Ray will make a check and then Peyton will make another check. In a way, it’s kind of fun to listen to.”
I wonder how these two of the best players with NFL jerseys work the battle with wisdom.

Jim Mora says he is not worried
Jim Mora felt free to say something about how to turn around a 5-11 team after leaving the Seattle Seahawks.
“I was very stunned to say the least and I indicated so,” Mora said on KJR-AM on Monday afternoon in his first extended comments about his firing. “I’ve never seen this happen like this before. I was very stunned. I don’t know that it’s even hit me yet.” Mora was dismissed just after one season last Friday. At the same time, it hurts for the Seahawks appointed Pete Carroll as the new one just after More on the air one hour later. Mora said he was not too worried about it. He just going to work until he was told not to work.
This ex coach said most of the players with seahawks jerseys offered much support.

Rice and Ravens defeated Pats successfully
Tom Brady and his New England Patriots went down to the valley just in minutes. Fans with their patriots jerseys sat in frozen silence, they saw the blooding truth on the score board.
Five minutes into the game, New England trailed the Baltimore Ravens 14-0. Just one minute later the crowd came to life, booing Brady and his teammates who hadn’t lost a playoff game at Gillette Stadium. Brady said he'd have been booing themselves, too. the way they played would not beat anybody. “Their era is not over, they know how to win,” Rice said, “but for the Ravens, to beat the New England Patriots set a precedent. We’ll always remember this win.” AS we all know that heating up early is very important. Rice and his team started game fast.
For Ravens, it was a good memory to defeat Pats.

No one hates hits
Fans with NFL jerseys always expect big hits happened in their supporting teams no matter how serious the NFL concerning about the concussions.
“The whole concussion issue is scary, but it’s not going to change the way a real football fan looks at the game,” Matt Sandbrook of Tampa, Fla., said while watching a late season Colts-Jaguars game at a sports bar. “Injuries are a detriment; concussions are a detriment. It’s good they’re trying to do some things to help the players, but fans still want to see football. Hitting is part of football. There’s no way to escape that. To fans, they hope certain experts can search more advanced equipment and tweaks to the rules protecting players.
We can trust the NFL as the world-class organization trying their best to protecting their players.

Grant of Saints sat out
We won't see No.94 saints jersey at the end of their season. He was put on the injured reserve Tuesday.
This man guarded the left side of the defensive line like a strong anchor, but now he has a triceps injury that will make him to say goodbye to his season. The eight-year NFL veteran had surgery to repair the torn muscle, according to the team. He was 31 years old started at each game this season and offered 53 tackles, 5.5 sacks and a forced fumble. Grant made the room on the roster, so re-signed defensive end Paul Spicer who was a 10-year veteran stepped in. He had played in all four preseason games with the Saints before being waived.
Injuries attacked the Saints' line defense totally and they hoped all 11 starters would be healthy during the playoffs.

Jets got playoff spot
New York Jets hold tightly of their first playoff berth in three seasons with a 37-0 victory Sunday night at the frigid Meadowlands by their active defense and rookie Mark Sanchez's efficient offense.
“It’s a special feeling,” Sanchez said. “A few weeks ago, people had us counted out.” The Jets set up a rematch against the AFC North champion Bengals. “This wasn’t our goal to make the playoffs. Our goals are much higher,” said Ryan, heading to the postseason in his first year as a head coach. “We were 4-6 and we had a mission with the team. It went from impossible to improbable, back to impossible and then to inevitable.”
Cornerback Darrelle Revis with the jets jersey said they had to give back to the fans.
