Browns have a relax limit on free agent costs

The Cleveland Browns do not want to trace the footsteps of AFC North rivals to approaching free agency with a self-imposed salary cap.

Unlike the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Baltimore Ravens, who have both stated that they’ll have an internal limit on free agency spending, the Browns are going into the signing period with a different philosophy. "We’ll spend what we think we need to spend and be smart about it," general manager Tom Heckert told the Cleveland Plain Dealer. "We’re going into it thinking we’ll do what we need to do." "We have to be prepared just in case something does get done," Heckert said. "We’re going to do what we think we need to do. We’re not looking at it either way.

They feel whom can help them, they will go out and do it. We want to see how many guys will wear browns jersey.
